COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency says BMX rider Michael Kapes has accepted a two-year suspension after testing positive for anabolic steroids.
USADA says a urine sample from the 20-year-old Florida rider tested positive March 15 at the National Bicycle League's Gator Nationals. It was Kapes' first offence. The sanction began July 7, when his provisional suspension was accepted.
Kapes is disqualified from all competitive results since March 15.
