Three teenagers killed, two injured when car crashes into tree in Regina

REGINA - Three teenagers are dead after a small car they were in slammed into a tree in Regina.

Police say the dead include two males and a female, and that all three were 17 years old. Two other male teens, both 17, were sent to hospital, and one of them has already been discharged. No names have been released.

The overnight crash happened on a busy thoroughfare in the city's northwest.

The impact reportedly ripped out the vehicle's engine and broke the tree.
