A former student from Superior Middle School was helping to represent the province at this year's National Historica Heritage Fair, held in Victoria, B.C.

Heidi Scott was among the 15 young New Brunswickers at the event, which ran from July 7 to 14. She is the daughter of Irving and Shirley Scott and her project consisted of photos and artifacts from the former W.J.Kent department store on Main Street in Bathurst.

She just completed her Grade 8 studies last month and will be entering Grade 9 this September at Bathurst High School.

The Heritage Fair program is a national education project developed to increase awareness and interest in Canadian history.
