Waterfront announcement slated for Wed.

Lloyd Hussey and his son Jake, of Lloyd’s Central Improvement Inc., are shown installing a drainage pipe at the Downtown Bathurst waterfront development project.

Finance Minister Victor Boudreau, minister responsible for the Regional Development Corporation will be in Bathurst Wednesday to make a funding announcement related to the waterfront project. The City of Bathurst project consists of a tiny waterfront village housing various businesses, and featuring a boardwalk with plans for a gazebo, observaton tower and a skating rink.

It is sad that the "waterfront village" went from cute little shingled cabins, to plastic, cookie cutter boxes... Maybe the shingles are still hiding underneath the vinyl siding somewhere - to be uncovered at a later date?
On a positive note, kudos for recognizing the beauty of Bathurst's waterfront - the most picturesque of the province!!!
