Energy Minister will be guest speaker

Energy Minister Jack Keir will be attending a gathering of the local business community next month.

He is the featured guest speaker of the 2008 Gala Entrepreneurs Banquet, to be held Oct. 15 at 6:45 p.m. at Danny's Inn and Conference Centre in Beresford.

Energy is a hot topic in the province of New Brunswick these days, and this region is part of the equation in relation to the increasing focus on power generated by windmills.

The evening will sees awards presented in the following categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Member of the Year (Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce), Member of the Year (Tourism Chaleur) and Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.

The banquet and awards ceremony is organized by Enterprise Chaleur, in partnership with the CBDC Chaleur, the Greater Bathurst Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Chaleur and the New Brunswick Association of CBDCs.
