"In the last few years, Bathurst has been hit with some tough times...but we survived and I think we're doing well with the business development in the area and we have some files that are positive, going in the right direction and I want to be part of that," said councilor Lise Ouellette.

"My reputation speaks for itself. I've done some good things for the city...and I'm hoping the citizens will put their confidence in me again."

Coun. Claire Wilt is banking on experience to help her back into office.

"I now have 19 years of experience as municipal councillor and believe that my successful re-elections prove that I am a sincere and dedicated," said Mrs. Wilt. " I work hard to represent all citizens regardless of their background. I love helping people and will go through all avenues to attempt to find a solution to the problem - regardless of the problem."

Deputy mayor Scott Ferguson points to his solid attendance record for council meetings and the various projects he's committed.

"My attendance at meetings has been right there with the best," he said. "I've taken on some big projects, the skateboard park, the whole parks system itself...I sit on the waterfront development committee, the business committee."

Coun. Pat Duffy said she's got a lot of energy and ideas left and that she's a strong voice for citizens.

"They need strong voices, they need to make sure their voice is going to be heard. I will always listen and I will do my best to be the strongest voice they can have."

Coun. Blair Doucet said he's always listened to any concerns he's received and he would continue that if the people vote him back on council.

"I'd like to consider myself a strong citizens advocate, meaning any of the phone calls I've had I've always responded seeing if I could look after their issues."

Coun. Hugh Comeau said he has the professional and municipal government experience to take the city to the next level.

"I've got 35 years in business and a lot of experience in many fields...I feel I can continue to contribute to the city and...I really enjoy the work."

Coun. Graham Wiseman says he's got unfinished work to do and ideas that can help the city prosper in regards to development and diversification.

"I let my record speak for itself. I've been approachable, accessible, people know where I am. I don't disappear after the election...and the thing is if they need an ear, I listen. If I can answer their question I will, and if not, I will find the answer...I stand for the common guy and don't make any distinction between rich and poor."

How many of you voted for the Anglo Society flag to be exposed at the city hall? This is what will make me decide who to vote for and it is definetley not any of the incumbents. Capice?

Graham Wiseman, you left Bathurst for Alberta and keeping your position as councillor. How responsible is that? I can easily understand now why you have some unfinished work.

Pat Dufy, I've been told your attendance has been very poor.
