
Cinemas remain prime vacant Main St. property
Bathurst has two large vacant buildings at both ends of Main Street in Le Chateau Hotel and the Smurfit-Stone mill. Many talk of the need to fill those buildings but there is another Main Street property that hasn't received much attention since becoming idle over a decade ago.

The festival runs until tomorrow, Wednesday, with the Festival of the Stars taking place this Sunday. Emma, 16, is the daughter of Percy and Mary-Ellen of Janeville. She is a Grade 10 student.
Working on their moves
Mike "Ghost" Zanidean of the Harlem Ambassadors basketball team was clowning around with eight-year-old Nicholas Cameron before Saturday night's charity basketball game at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre. About 3,000 people turned out to see the Ambassadors take on a local team to raise money for buses for Bathurst High School and Ecole Secondaire Nepisiguit.
