Woman allegedly stole meat from Superstore

The Campbellton RCMP is looking to identify a woman suspected of stealing meat from a local grocery store before the holidays.

Police say the woman left the Superstore in Atholville around 3 p.m. on Dec. 18 without paying for about $100 in meat.

Police issued a photo of the woman that appears to have been taken inside the story and described her in a news release as about five-foot-five with a medium build and wearing a brown, checked jacket, along with plaid pajama pants and black winter boots. She is believed to have gotten into a black Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Campbellton RCMP at 506-789-6000.

Stolen ATV sought

RCMP are also asking for the public’s help in locating a stolen ATV from a residence in St. Quentin.

Police said in a news release the theft is believed to have occurred sometime during the overnight hours of Dec. 29 from a home on Des Mures Street. The ATV is described as a white 2016 Honda TRX 500FA, with licence plate XY8 617.

Anyone with information on that theft can contact the St. Quentin RCMP at 506-235-2149.
