Looking Back: The 3rd Earl of Bathurst
St. Peters was renamed Bathurst in 1826 in honour of Henry, 3rd Earl of Bathurst, 1762 to 1834. He was an important figure in the pre-Confederation history of Canada, even though he never came to this country.

Helping Bathurst take that first step
One didn't have to dial a 1-900 psychic hotline or make use of a crystal ball to know what the big issue would be in the Bathurst municipal election on May 12. Based on interviews we've had with some of the city council candidates coming forward to replace the incumbents, their main focal point is about finding ways to spur job growth in our city.
Thinking our weather debt is now paid in full
