Anniversary tour remembered

In May 1994, a wonderful tour was arranged through the Bathurst Legion by Linda and Graham Wiseman in honour of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The bus left early on the morning of May 29, and as you can see from the smiles, it was quite an adventure. They travelled to France (no, not by bus), met friends at St. Aubin sur Mer (Bathurst's twin city) and crossed the channel to England where they saw the famed White Cliffs of Dover and veterans signed the visitors log at Buckingham Palace. The trip was such a success that another tour was organized the following year, this time to Holland.
