Bowlarama ladies to host N.B. event

More than 100 of the province best female bowlers will be in the city next week for the 67th annual Ladies Provincial Bowling Championships at the Bathurst Bowlarama@2020.

The week-long event, that is held in the city every five years, gets underway on Sunday at 11 a.m. and will include 18 of the best teams from New Brunswick with the finals set for May 17.

Two local teams, including the host team the Bathurst Lady Bugs, will be part of the event. The Lady Bugs lineup includes Theresa Basque, Jeanne D'Arc Landry, Marie Paule Bourque, Yvette Henry, Linda Krouse, Olivette Doucet and Suzanne Pitre.

The other local team is Havana Esthetics.
