It was mixed results for local minor baseball clubs during action last weekend.

On Saturday, the Bathurst Mosquito Red Sox hosted Napan and won a double header by scores of 11-0 and 18-8. The wins improved their record to 8-3.

Meanwhile, the Bathurst Peewee Red Sox participated in the Miramichi Lions club tournament. During the round robin the Red Sox beat Chatham Head 16–4, slipped past Napan 10-7 and then crushed Miramichi 27–7. The Red Sox then went down to defeat to Napan in the semi finals by a score of 13–11. The Red Sox over all record now stands at 13 wins and 2 loses.

The Henry White Insurance Bantam Red Sox traveled to Dalhousie for a double header on Sunday. The Red Sox dropped both ends of the double header by scores of 10-9 and 10–5.
