Losier surges to early lead in senior bowling league

Marcella Losier has opened up a healthy lead in the Xerox Senior Bowling League at the Bathurst Bowlarama@2020.

Losier and her team sit atop the standing with 38 points after five weeks of play in the Wednesday afternoon league. Sonny and the Critters and Bernadette Arseneau are tied for second, with 27 points apiece; followed by a three-way tie for fourth between Violet Boucher, Hectorine Mallet and Pressure Kleen, who have 24 points each.

The Bowlarama Alley Cats have grabbed a slim lead in the Sitel Seniors League with 34 points, followed by Yvette O'Neil with 32 and Stothart Toyota and Hazel Chamberlain tied with 30 points each. Ken Pitre, who bowled a 415 triple last week, continues to hold the men's high average with a 122 followed by Edgar Frenette with a 113. The ladies high average is held by Jeanne Morrison with a 112 followed by Yvette Henry with a 108.

In the Moosehead Men's Bowling League at the Bowlarama, Ace Leasing holds down top spot in the standings with 22 points after four weeks of play. Music City is second, with 19 points; followed by Rogers Rockets, the Killowatts and Max 104.9, with 14 points apiece.
