After blanking Jacquet River School 5-0 on Sept. 29, the Superior boy's team crushed Alisqite W Gitpu School of Listuguj, Que. 11-0 on Oct. 1.
Alex St.Coeur lead the boys on Sept. 29 with a pair of goals, while Kevin Shabani, Ben Ferguson and Levi Burtt all added singles. Last Wednesday, Armando Kazadi paced the offence with a four goal performance, while Levi Burtt had three goals. Singles went to Matthew Jean, Alex St. Coeur, Riley Scott and Cody Vienneau. Trey Horton picked up the shutout in both games.
Heading into action Monday night in Dalhousie against Acadamie Notre Dame (results were not available at press time), Superior had outscored their opponents 34-0 while compiling a perfect record of five wins and no losses so far this season.
The Superior girls team, meanwhile, won their lone game last week when they cruised to a 7-1 victory over Campbellton Middle School on Sept. 30 to improve their record to 5-0.
Scoring for Superior were Jessica Gionet, with a hat trick; Jennica Doucet, with a pair of goals; and Alexandra Erb and Meghan Scott with one goal apiece.
The Superior boys team is scheduled to play their next game at home this Wednesday when they entertain Acadamie Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. The Superior girls are at home to Jacquet River School this afternoon and play host to Campbellton Middle School on Thursday. Both games are at 4:30 p.m.
